Power of Smiles
Have you ever smiled? Of course, you must have. What a silly question? But, have you ever observed when you smile actually, not pretentiously you are very calm, very chill, relaxed, positive. Or maybe its the other way round i.e. when you are calm, relaxed, you can smile.
Have you ever been to a hospital? You don’t feel so good because everyone is sad & sick - lack of positive vibes. But, when you go to a place of worship, you feel a lot of positive vibes because people step out of there with confidence, with a smile that everything is gonna be fine because god is there to take care. So, positive vibes do make a difference. When you smile, you generate positive vibes and when you hug or embrace a situation, you spread them across. Oh PriyaRahul, now this is getting too philosophical. Where is your story? Isn’t that what you are thinking? All right, all right, let me start my story.

Once, there was a very poor little boy living just with his father. He had no mother. Father had minimalistic resources to give like just normal food, limited clothes, and basic education. But, father had one thing invaluable and divine that he gave to his son. That is the wisdom of life. He told his son whatever you get in your life, just smile and embrace it and be right at your place. There might be many people around you who may not like you, who might even bully you but don’t bother. Just smile & embrace the situation or just give a hug and walk off. Because if you don’t fit in the frame of mind of others, it doesn’t make you a wrong or a bad person. Father also said “just imagine if you walk into a sweet shop, you would probably like one or two sweets. You might not like the others. Does it mean that other sweets leave their sweetness & become bitter? No, there might be other people who might like those sweets. So never leave your sweetness. There will be someone who will like you. We all humans are like different sweets in a sweet shop with different qualities & characteristics. The boy always listened to the father and believed him.
One day, the boy lost his father too. He was very sad and lonely. He went to his father’s grave and promised that “I will always follow your sweet mantras of life i.e. smile & hug” and he walked from there with a smile saying that I am sad that you left me but I believe it was for a good reason. I am happy for you that your struggles are over and you are resting in peace or starting a new chapter of life. He continued living his life with the wisdom he got from his father by embracing every situation. The boy grew up into a young man.
Every time the young man walked on the road and looked at the beggars at the traffic signal, he smiled at them & hugged them. He never had any money to give them. But, he always told them that everything is gonna be fine. Few years passed, the boy now crossed the same signal on a bicycle but he still continued to hug the beggars and say the same words - everything is gonna be fine. Time passed by, the boy now came there in a bike & then in a car but he still continued to hug the beggars with a smile.
Initially, the beggars ignored him but slowly his positive vibes touched their souls. Because, more than money the beggars started looking for the young man as there is someone now who cares for them instead of ignoring them. With his positive vibes, he started giving everyone confidence that everything is gonna be fine. So, the people who were beggars once, now started believing in themselves. They started earning for life instead of begging. But, they still come to the traffic signal everyday just to get the smile and the hug of the young man who transformed their lives.
That man is now called as “smile & hug guy”. Without his knowledge, the beggars (who are earning their livelihood now) formed an NGO on his name and made him the chairperson. This NGO now supports people like beggars in developing their confidence & providing them with better livelihood.
You see, life has its way - you sow is what you reap. The more positive vibes the man had spread, the more he had got in return. With his positive energy, he had good luck & a better life. So, stay positive & spread good vibes with a smile, share it with a hug, and embrace every situation.
Do you know, what is the biggest problem in life? The speed breakers or the huddles are not the problem. The inability to accept or embrace the speed breakers or the huddles is the biggest problem. Imagine, you are travelling on a highway and you got a couple of speed breakers in a row. They are good for you because they will control your speed. If you accept them, you will enjoy the bumps. So, in life whenever you get bumps or problems, embrace them. Because, you never know how beneficial they can be for you. Just by accepting them, will give you enough energy to cross it. But, believe me every problem in life is good for you as long as you will remain positive. Just be what you are. So let's start a small rally of smiles & hugs from your house itself. Even if your life partner or your son gets angry or annoyed at you. Just smile back, hug them & say I love you. If you have any problem, just smile, hug your family and say everything's gonna be fine.
It's absolutely ok if you don’t fit in any situation of life. Just smile & move on and everything will be fine because with a smile you will only attract positive energy. Here is a real life story just for some motivation.
There was a very poor little boy. He always believed that everything happens for a reason and happens for good as long as he stays correct & positive. He always felt It's OK if others don’t like him; it's always ok if he doesn't fit in others' frame of mind. This small positive attitude transformed his life. Do you wanna know who he is? He served 14 years as a chief minister & he is now the prime minister of India, none other than Mr. Narendra Modi - from Chai seller to a ruler. Positive vibes & positive attitude can achieve anything. You just need to smile & embrace things in your life.
Ahhh, It's over guys my hands are hurting. Now, go and hug your loved ones, smile & embrace every situation.
